Ademola Lookman finally made his season debut as Atalanta delivered a commanding 3-0 win away at Torino. The Nigerian forward entered the match in the 87th minute, coming on for Kamaldeen Sulemana, and although he had little time, his presence was welcomed by the fans.

Atalanta’s first goal came in the 30th minute from Nikola Krstović, who then secured his brace just before half-time with another clinical finish, this time assisted by Sulemana. The hosts never recovered, as Atalanta impressed with both composure and attacking fluidity.

Another highlight was the debut of 17-year-old Honest Ahanor, signed from Genoa. He was forced into action early after Isak Hien was injured in the 27th minute. Despite his age, Ahanor showed in defence and handled his responsibilities well throughout his debut appearance.

Lookman’s return to the pitch, albeit brief, comes after a tough summer. Atalanta will see this performance as a boost, with their ambitions high both in Serie A and abroad.

We believe this Atalanta performance sends a message not just of strength, but of depth and patience. Sometimes, the return of a player like Lookman isn’t about immediate game-changing moments
